DAY THREE:  Beijing -> Nanjing

Today was the day.  SHANE IS OURS!!!.

After checking out of our hotel in Beijing and taking a 90 minute flight to the city of Nanjing, we are now in the Grand Hotel for only one night.

It is hard to express in a short summary what we experienced today, but in a 6th floor meeting room of the Grand Hotel in Nanjing (JiangSu Province), we met Shane (Yang Fu) and he is forever ours!

As expected, he was not too happy with the situation when the people familiar to him left and he realized he was now with yet another set of strangers, but we worked through that and by the end of the day had him laughing and running and playing with us, and even hollering "mama" at Jocelyn when she got up at the restaurant to go get some food.  He was sad again at the end of the day, but fell asleep in his new mama's arms and is now fast asleep.

Rather than bore you with written details, and since we are very tired, we will just get these photos posted and you can enjoy them, understanding that each one is worth at least a thousand words!

Tomorrow, we do paperwork in the morning and then take a bus ride to Yangzhou, where Shane's orphanage is, and where we'll spend the next two nights.  Goodnight all.

Precious photos from today:
